Roscoe's Story

✨⭐✨
Star Of The Day
✨⭐✨

Meet Roscoe, who was always a very good boy. Through no fault of his own, he found himself on the euthanasia list at Stanislaus County Animal Services in Modesto, which is sadly being forced to euthanize for space.

He never deserved to be just a number on a list waiting for his final day. Week after week, year in and year out, shelters are tragically overwhelmed with more dogs than they have opportunities to save.
By the grace of transportation angels, Sebastion and Aubrie, who volunteered to drive him to his new forever home Roscoe instead walked out of the shelter and on to a brand new life. These angels reported that Roscoe was a perfect gentleman for the 200+mile car ride to his new home.

Once there, Roscoe was met with loving, open arms. Roscoe's journey out of Modesto and his neuter was sponsored by Grandma's Barn Rescue and Sanctuary in Sparks. Once the neuter was completed, so was Roscoe's formal adoption. His new family says he's a loving, happy, snuggly, well behaved and very smart boy who gets along great with every member of the family including his new canine and feline siblings. From his new mom, Sandy. " Yes Thank You everyone! He is the best dog ever! Marcy said on his shelter picture it says he’s aggressive? I was like oh my he’s the best dog ever!❤️👍

Roscoe is in his forever home. The way it should be ✨⭐✨

Roscoe reminds us that it's not always where you come from that makes you who you are.
Every dog doesn't always get what they need and desperately deserve but every dog deserves a chance. None of that is possible without your help. We invite you to learn more about fostering and adopting the really good dogs that are at the highest risk. Or if possible, please make a tax deductible donation. To continue this work, the need is great and there are many ways you can help make a difference.

Fostering Saves Lives

Open Your Heart — Become a Foster Hero

At Grandma’s Barn Rescue & Sanctuary, fostering saves lives. When you open your home to an animal in need, you give them safety, love, and the time they need to heal while we find their forever home.

We’re always in need of fosters for puppies, senior dogs, horses, donkeys, and other rescued farm animals. Whether it’s a warm bed, a gentle touch, or just a little extra space in your barn or backyard — you can make all the difference.

Fostering is temporary. The impact is forever.
